The 80/20 System employs two main components, the T-slotted aluminum profile, which runs the length of the profile, and a fastening method. With these two components you can design and configure 80/20 products into just about anything your mind can dream up! 80/20 T-slotted aluminum profiles have many advantages beyond design flexibility. Made of 6105-T5 aluminum alloy, 80/20’s extruded aluminum products are as strong as steel but only a third of the weight. Because 80/20 anodizes their aluminum bars in a sulfuric acid bath, they are naturally scratch resistant, will never rust and will never need to be painted.

Every 80/20 project has its own unique requirements and specifications. Some need to hit an exact price point and others need a specific strength. Each scenario may require a different profile to fit the project. 80/20 has developed over 100 different extrusion profiles in their line of products to choose from!
